Tuition & Payment Structure Policy

Annual Tuition

Tuition at Whitemarsh Day School is calculated as an annual cost based on the number of days a child attends each week. Enrollment reserves a space for the full school year and includes staffing, classroom instruction, curriculum planning, and program resources.

Payment Schedule

For family convenience, annual tuition is divided into nine (9) equal monthly payments, due September through May.

Monthly tuition payments:

• Are equal installments of the total annual tuition

• Are not based on the number of school days in a given month

• Remain the same regardless of holidays, school breaks, weather closures, or student absences

This payment structure allows the school to maintain consistent staffing, classroom preparation, and high-quality programming throughout the school year.

School Day & Attendance

Our program at WDS operates from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (4 hours per day). Annual tuition is calculated using the total number of instructional days scheduled for each attendance option:

• 2 days/week: 61 instructional days per year

• 3 days/week: 84 instructional days per year

• 5 days/week: 140 instructional days per year

Families attending more days per week benefit from a reduced daily and hourly rate, reflecting proportional tuition pricing.​

3 Days / Week

• Monthly Tuition: $352

• Annual Tuition: $3,168

• Attendance: 84 days per year

• Cost Per Day: $37.71

• Cost Per Hour (4 hrs): $9.43

 

5 Days / Week

• Monthly Tuition: $425

• Annual Tuition: $3,817

• Attendance: 140 days per year

• Cost Per Day: $27.32

• Cost Per Hour (4 hrs): $6.83

Tuition reflects a 3.5% annual increase to support rising operational and program costs.

 

​Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee of $185 is due at the time of enrollment to reserve a child’s space for the school year. This fee covers administrative processing, staffing preparation, and classroom planning. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.​

Supply Fees

An annual supply fee is required and is based on the number of days a child attends each week. Supply fees support classroom materials, hands-on learning resources, art supplies, STEM activities, outdoor learning materials, and shared classroom tools.

Tuition & Fee Agreement

By enrolling a child at Whitemarsh Day School, families acknowledge and agree to:

• The annual tuition obligation

• The 9-month equal payment schedule

• The tiered supply fee structure

• All tuition and fee policies outlined in our policies and procedures

Failure to adhere to tuition and fee policies may result in late fees, suspension of services, or termination of enrollment, as outlined in our policies and procedures.
